With amazing views over the Chobe River, the main area at Sanctuary’s Chobe Chilwero features a spacious lounge, a small library and an impressive dining room where mouth – watering meals and served both indoors and outdoors. A lovely spa with a vast array of products and welcoming menu of treatments is situated behind the split-level swimming pool.

Each individual air-conditioned thatched suite boasts its own private garden and en-suite bathroom with an elegant bath and separate shower. Coffee stations are available in each room. Three of the new suites feature an extra bedroom which makes them ideal for family stays. The new Pool Suite features its’ own private plunge pool and private deck. Private starlit dinners for two can be arranged should weather permit.

Guests can opt to join 4×4 open vehicle game drives into Chobe National Park lead by professional guides with a wealth of knowledge and promising great game viewing or alternatively for enthusiastic photographers, a photographic boat safari is on offer – seating up to 18 guests on an upper and lower deck and offering a great viewpoint for both the river and its variety of exciting wildlife.

One can also enjoy a relaxing sundowner cruise, complete with delicious cocktails and magnificent views of the African sunset while taking in the many species of popular game such as roan and sable antelope, sitatungas and a broad variety of birds.

A host of safari activities tailor-made for children are on offer for travelling families and include guided walking safaris within the safe grounds of the Lodge. For fishing fanatics, fishing trips based on a catch and release system can be booked separately at the lodge an additional cost.
