Chobe Savannah Lodge is a peaceful water focussed lodge set on beautiful floodplains on the banks of the Chobe River, away from the busier river sections near Kasane. The open savannah views make a fantastic change from the thicker bushveld found in most of Botswana and the lodge offers several elevated points to soak up these wonderful vistas. Activities centre on the river, with morning and afternoon boating safaris as well as fishing.
Chobe Savannah Lodge takes 26 guests across 10 standard rooms and 1 family room. Each spacious room is are conditions and has its own complimentary mini-bar as well as a private deck for enjoying the quiet hours between activities. Chobe Savannah Lodge is really all about a slower pace of safari, a quieter safari, away from the rattle of the 4×4 and taking the time to sit back and relax in the beautiful African wilderness.
The sweeping floodplains are home to large herds of elephant and buffalo, as well as many other animals which come to the quiet banks to drink.
The focus at Chobe Savannah Lodge is on the water- there are no game drives, instead you will enjoy morning and afternoon boating excursions and enjoy watching the animals from this quiet and unique vantage point. Fishing for tiger fish and bream is also possible (catch and release only) while cultural excursions can also be arranged to experience local Namibian life in this area.
The lodge actually lies on the eastern Caprivi strip of Namibia, though access is from Botswana.
At Okavango Delta Explorations we specialise in crafting safaris to this unique ecosystem.
