This is an authentic and friendly camp offering game drives, walks and seasonal mokoro rides with excellent guides.
Khwai Bush Camp is a simple but very comfortable camp with just six tented rooms, each with a raised deck overlooking the floodplain or lagoon offering the perfect spot to watching the animals coming and going to the river. The rooms are all en-suite and well-appointed, with thoughtful touches to ensure a comfortable stay such as standing fans and tea and coffee stations.
The intimate Khwai Bush Camp has a down to earth and friendly feel and offers an authentic safari experience. With no permanent structures and light tented materials throughout this is an eco-friendly camp where the focus is on the beautiful surroundings rather than the luxury of the camp. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and the welcoming main area also includes a pool and various comfortable spots for relaxing between activities.
For those animals moving between the Chobe and Linyanti reserves in the north and the Okavango, this river is the first enduring water source they reach, therefore bringing large numbers of wildlife year round. A wide variety of animals flock here, from elephant to plains game and predators, such as lion, leopard and even wild-dog. This is a beautiful area, with numerous shallow lagoons speckled with lilies and splashes of bright coloured birds.
While the Khwai community area can be busy, the game viewing is consistently good and varied at Khwai Bush Camp. The Moremi Game Reserve borders the concession with animals roaming freely between the areas. Activities focus on morning, afternoon and night drives as well as mokoro rides, water levels permitting. Cultural visits to the local village can be arranged too.
