Oddballs Enclave lies on the Rann’s Private Concession with lovely views over the floodplains and riverine forest. This intimate camp does not offer motorised activities like 4×4 game drives or boating, instead focussing on walking and mokoro- in the most traditional sense. Overnight fly camping is also offered in combination with walking and mokoro trails, one of the most intimate experiences with the African bush to be found in the Okavango. Most of the staff come from the local village and a visit here offers a fascinating glimpse into local life.
Oddballs Enclave has just five elevated ‘mini-meru’ en -suite tents with single or double beds. Alfresco bathrooms have traditional African bucket showers with hot water. Completely solar-powered, the tents at the Enclave are designed to fit naturally into the environment and to have minimum impact on surrounding ecosystems. An elevated open deck and dining room form the main areas of the lodge where guests can relax and revel in the hushed atmosphere of the African bushveld.
Activities at Oddballs Enclave are identical to those at Oddballs’ camp itself and offer full privacy and flexibility, with a maximum of two guests hosted by each professional guide. Explore the river channels in genuine, hand-made dug-out canoes and walk on Chief’s Island well known for its plentiful game and bird species. Your personal guide may extend an invitation to visit his own baYei village – a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
As at Oddballs Camp, extended camping excursions to wilderness areas by Mokoro can be arranged at time of booking. (Dependant on water levels and at additional cost). Camping equipment excluding sleep bags, is provided by Oddballs Enclave.
Chief’s Island offers very good game viewing but it must be understood that it falls within the Moremi Game Reserve and as a result the guides do not carry firearms, which are not permitted in the Moremi Game Reserve. Guests must make their own assessment of whether they are comfortable with this from a safety perspective.
Wildlife sightings within Moremi Game Reserve include lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, hippopotamus, crocodile, giraffe, antelope including the rare lechwe, tsessebe and sitatunga, otters, honey-badgers, the shy pangolin, and a variety of the smaller wild cats such as civets, servals and genets. Prolific birdlife occurs in this area, including rare species such as the elusive Pel’s Fishing owl.
Children of all ages are welcome at Oddballs Enclave however we do not recommend this for young families.
At Okavango Delta Explorations we specialise in crafting safaris to this unique ecosystem.

Enquire NowLittle Sable is a gem of a camp with sweeping views over the open grasslands of the game rich Khwai Private Reserve. Little Sable is a smaller and simpler camp than its big sister, Sable Alley, with the same good safari experience at a more affordable rate. It is a charming little camp with plenty of character and comfort, and a more down to earth style. The camp is simple but the game viewing luxurious, being so exclusive in this vast reserve.
