Mopiri Camp - translated as ‘’Little Island’’-offers a classic water camp experience. Situated on a three-kilometre permanent lagoon, surrounded by sparkling Okavango waters, Mopiri sits among quintessential Okavango scenery. Activities focus on the water, with boat trips through the winding channels of papyrus and peaceful mokoro rides gliding through the shallower waters as you explore this unique eco-system. Tranquil island surroundings allow guests to set their own pace.
Days at Mopiri Camp are spent exploring the delta and admiring the prevalent wetland eco-systems occurring in this region of the Delta.
Ten light and airy tents all have en-suite bathrooms with large rain showers. The main area consists of a large dining room, with a separate lounge area and a substantial deck overlooking the lagoon. A well -positioned seating area and fire pit are a perfect location for stargazing. The swimming pool is situated with views over the flood plain and in the centre of the island, in the boma, guests can enjoy cultural evenings filled with Mopiri song and delicious traditional local dishes served by friendly staff.
A host of various activities are on offer and include scenic mokoro trips around the surrounding islands of the camp, guided bush walks, fishing trips, day trips, and bird walks. Mopiri Camp offers a unique fly camp experience (to be booked beforehand), whereby camp is set up by an obliging team of staff and guests are spoilt with sundowners and three course meal prepared over a fire. A truly fantastic up close and personal encounter with the African Wilderness.
Educational village tours and helicopter trips to Tsodilo Hills – a UNESCO site – invite guests to explore the landscape while providing numerous photographic opportunities to capture the various landscapes and wildlife along the way.
Bird enthusiasts will be pleased by the 350 species to be found in the Delta, including regular sightings of Pel’s Fishing Owl, Slaty Egret and African Skimmer.

Nokanyana Camp, meaning “Little River”, lies on the confluence of the Khwai and Mabebe rivers, in the far east of the Okavango. This is an intimate and relaxed camp offering an affordable base to explore the area, with game drives to Moremi, Khwai and Mababe depression. With 3 family tents Nokonyaya is particularly well suited to families. Activities focus on morning and afternoon game drives.
