Singita Elela will open in the Okavango Delta in December 2026 as one of Botswana’s most luxurious safari lodges. The Singita collection of award-winning luxury lodges have become flagship properties across Africa, from South Africa to Rwanda. Singita Elela will be the first lodge located in Botswana from this luxury ecotourism and conservation brand - with this fine pedigree behind it there is no doubt Singita Elela will soon become one of the top Okavango safari lodges.

Singita Elela means “to flow” in Setswana, a fitting name for a camp inspired by the seasonality of the Okavango Delta. Designed in harmony with its environment, each of Elela’s eight circular, stilted camps offers panoramic views of shifting floodplains, roaming wildlife, and the ever-changing skies. Wherever you are—in your suite, on the deck, or by the fire—the landscape feels alive and constantly in motion.

Set within NG26, a vast concession in the southwest of the Delta, Elela lies at the heart of a landscape of ancient waterways, islands, lagoons, grasslands, and swamps—an ecosystem as diverse as it is beautiful.

Singita Elela offers the ultimate exclusivity and luxury. The lodge consists of 8 individual ‘camps’, comprising of five one-bedroom retreats, two two-bedroom retreats, and one four-bedroom retreat. Each is designed as a self-contained sanctuary, with a lounge, dining area, and kitchenette—spacious enough to host private wellness treatments or workouts. Outdoors, a private pool invites you to cool off, firepits and decks provide space for gathering or reflection, and every retreat comes with a private vehicle, guide, and dedicated host to shape your safari.

The four-bedroom camp offers the pinnacle of private safari living, with two vehicles, private guides, a host and chef, and its own dedicated fitness and wellness spaces—ideal for families or groups travelling together. Children of all ages are warmly welcomed.

Days at Elela can be as active or as restful as you wish. Activities include game drives, bush walks, seasonal mokoro excursions, boating, fishing, wine tastings, stargazing, yoga, and wellness treatments. Helicopter flights are also available for an unforgettable bird’s-eye perspective of the Delta.

The rhythm of an Elela stay is guided by the flow of the Delta itself—seasonal waters, shifting light, and the movements of wildlife—inviting a sense of freedom, possibility, and deep connection to one of Africa’s most remarkable wildernesses.

Singita Elela will be located in the stunning northern Okavango, on  NG26, the Abu private concession,  one of the most beautiful and game rich areas of Delta with iconic Okavango landscapes from palm studded islands to seasonal floodplains and meandering waterways. A wonderful range of habitats across the concession supports a great range of wildlife. Its complexity and biodiversity are matched only by its beauty. The area is famous for elephants, though a comprehensive big game safari experience can be expected with predators regularly seen, particularly lion, leopard and spotted hyena.

Singita Elela will have exclusive access to 170, 000 hectares of untouched wilderness, ensuring a truly exclusive safari. Being a private concession means the lodge will have the ability to offer both day and night drives, as well as off-roading, ensuring a fully flexible safari experience.

This area of the Okavango, the Abu concession, has traditionally been able to support seasonal water activities such as motor boating and mokoro (traditional dug out canoes) during the flood season (usually from May/June to September/October).

Singita Elela is one of the most anticipated lodges to open in Botswana.
