Singita Elela will open in the Okavango Delta in 2026 as one of Botswana’s most luxurious safari lodges. The Singita collection of award-winning luxury lodges have become flagship properties across Africa, from South Africa to Rwanda. Singita Elela will be the first lodge located in Botswana from this luxury ecotourism and conservation brand - with this fine pedigree behind it there is no doubt Singita Elela will soon become one of the top Okavango safari lodges.

Singita Elela Luxury Lodge will be located in the stunning northern Okavango, on the Abu private concession. This is one of the most beautiful and game rich areas of Delta with iconic Okavango landscapes from palm studded islands to seasonal floodplains and meandering waterways. A wonderful range of habitats across the concession supports a great range of wildlife. Its complexity and biodiversity are matched only by its beauty. The area is famous for elephants, though a comprehensive big game safari experience can be expected with predators regularly seen, particularly lion, leopard and spotted hyena.

Singita Elela Luxury Lodge will have exclusive access to 170, 000 hectares of untouched wilderness, ensuring a truly exclusive safari. Being a private concession means the lodge will have the ability to offer both day and night drives, as well as off-roading, ensuring a fully flexible safari experience. Singita Elela Luxury Lodge have yet to announce what activities will be offered as well as the game drives. This area of the Okavango, the Abu concession, has traditionally been able to support seasonal water activities such as motor boating and mokoro (traditional dug out canoes) during the flood season (usually from May/June to September/October).

Elela, meaning ‘flow’ in Setswana, will be a luxury lodge designed to celebrate the wonder of this dynamic area, which experiences the seasonal ebb and flow of the Okavango Delta transforming the landscape around the lodge.
