Okavango Hidden Gems Camps In the Okavango Delta

“Touching the Earth lightly” is the mantra of new operator Okavango Hidden Gems. Okavango Hidden Gems has three camps in NG 32, in the far south of the Delta, Camp Maru and Amber River Camp (opening in 2020) and their Roving Safari Camp.

Although Okavango Hidden Gems is a new operator, they are the outfitter arm of tour operator Exclusive Africa and therefore have a weight of experience and credibility in the industry.

The camps are a classic, 1930s inspired safari experience. They strip away some of the heavy luxury of some of the very highest end operators, whilst providing very comfortable, stylish and exclusive accommodation. They aim to source produce, services and décor locally and the camps are 100% solar powered and off grid.

As NG 32 is a community controlled concession, Okavango Hidden Gems is involved in community upliftment projects and also run a honey farming and bee conservation project. Okavango Hidden Gem’s camps benefit from the varied habitats of NG32.
