Six Night Okavango Safari

This six night Okavango safari combines three excellent camps; Okuti in the Moremi Game Reserve, Kanana in the western Okavango and Shinde in the Eastern Okavango. This itinerary covers a diverse range of habitats and wildlife encounters. Each of the camps complements each other beautifully ensuring the most comprehensive Okavango safari experience. Both Okuti and Shinde offer the opportunity to enjoy land and water activities year round, making this one of the best Okavango safari itineraries at any time of year.

This safari trip begins at Okuti Camp, set in the beautiful Xakanaxa area of the famous Moremi Game Reserve and providing excellent access to this magnificent Game Reserve at the heart of the delta. This is big game territory and the relaxed animals provide excellent photographic opportunities. Game drives and boating are offered at Okuti.

Moving to the west of the Okavango, to Kanana Camp set on the private Pom Pom concession you will enjoy the full range of activities available to private concessions- game drives, off-roading, night drives, walking. Mokoro and boating are also on offer depending on water levels. This is a particularly pretty area of the Okavango with a string of islands and floodplains. Leopards are frequently found here, along with big breeding herds of elephants and superb birding.

Finally you fly east to the private Shinde concession where you will stay at Shinde Camp. Like Kanana, a full range of activities are available to enjoy here. The game is wonderfully varied, large bull elephants roam the plains between herds of antelope. Lions are frequently seen and even cheetah and wild dog.

All three camps are operated by Ker & Downey Botswana, known for their small intimate camps and prime locations. Expect a high standard of guiding and service throughout.

This is the complete Okavango Delta safari providing the opportunity to experience the delta by land and water year round.
