Dulini Daunara maintains a refined and contemporary take on the classic safari camp, with a strong emphasis on space, privacy and comfort. The camp comprises a small collection of luxurious tented suites, each thoughtfully positioned to maximise seclusion and to take in uninterrupted views across the lagoon or floodplains.

The tented suites are spacious and beautifully appointed, with generous living areas opening onto private decks overlooking the water. Each has air conditioning, an indoor and outdoor shower, and a calm, contemporary interior that makes the most of the setting. There is also a family configuration with interconnected suites, making Daunara particularly well suited to families travelling together.

Both twin and double configurations are available, and the entire camp can be booked exclusively. As a small camp, Dulini Daunara is also one of our favourites for larger families or groups, particularly when booked exclusively.

Camp Facilities & Dining

The main camp area is stylish yet relaxed, with open-plan lounge and dining spaces extending onto expansive decks overlooking the water. There is a boma for evenings around the fire, while a wine cellar, gym and spa provide places to relax between activities.

Dining is of a high standard, with fresh, thoughtfully prepared meals served in the main dining area or in different settings around camp. Private dining can also be arranged, while evenings around the fire provide an opportunity to enjoy dinner beneath the stars and share stories of the day’s sightings. The camp’s position overlooking the permanent lagoon makes the water and surrounding wilderness a constant backdrop to time spent in camp.

Location & Access

Dulini Daunara Safari Camp is set on a private island in the southern Okavango Delta, within the South East Okavango (NG32), overlooking a permanent lagoon and expansive floodplains. Its position close to Maun makes it particularly convenient to access, with a short helicopter flight from Maun airport. For those who are not comfortable flying, a road transfer is also possible.

The camp offers a varied and immersive safari experience, with activities including game drives, mokoro excursions and guided walks, all providing different perspectives of this diverse Delta ecosystem.

Wildlife

The combination of permanent water, surrounding floodplains and adjacent dry areas creates a rich and varied habitat that supports a wide range of wildlife, from large herbivores to predators, alongside prolific birdlife. The permanent water attracts an abundance of wildlife and birdlife, ensuring rewarding sightings throughout the year.
